Guideline for Ordering Parts

Unused and excessive parts supplied by you or purchased by us will not be returned by default. If you want the parts to be sent back to you with the assembled boards, please contact your sales representative or make a note on your related order, and let us know which parts to send.

Basic Requirements:

oAll items must be on a continuous strip or reel

oIf you need to assemble the same SMT part in different boards, do not cut them into strips, please keep them in the continuous strip of tape or on the reels.

oSpecial instructions must be provided if components need special handling such as no clean solder

oBulks or Trays are okay for THT

oAvoid order tubes but if any SMD is in tube it must be a full length

Extra parts Needed:

Prototype & Small Build (1 to 25 boards)

Extra parts will be required on small builds (1 to 25 boards) as follows:

o0201 to 0603 size: Minimum extra quantity 50 plus required quantity

o0805 and above size: Minimum extra quantity 20 plus required quantity

oDiodes, Triodes, Crystal oscillator etc SMD components 2 extra parts needed

oIC, BGA, QFP, QFN,Connectors and other expensive components, no need extra quantity

For large runs:

Extra parts for large runs as follows:

oIC, BGA, QFP, QFN,Connectors and other expensive components, no need extra quantity

oChip components, 0.5% overage;

oDiodes, Triodes, 0.1% overage is needed;

Substitutions

If you choose JH PCBA turnkey PCB assembly service, we source all components for you according to BOM. We try our best to keep these components as accurately similar to the components listed in BOM. We will notify and seek approval from customers before making substitutions for components.

Panelization:

If your PCB dimension is smaller than 50mmx50mm, or if your PCB is of any shapes (circular, or odd shape) other than rectangle, your boards must be panelized in an array for assembly. As we also fabricate your PCB for you, so once we start fabricating your boards we will have the panelization file (solder paste data), we will transfer the data to PCBA department to create the stencil to match the panelized PCB.

PCB Fabrication Requirements:

All Printed Circuit Boards must have fiducial marks.

Your PCB length and width must be at least 2 inches (approximately 50mm). If your individual PCB is smaller than 2 inches you should panelize your boards. Our support team is available to assist if you need help.

Components should be at least 0.120 inches (3mm) from board edge. If components are closer or overhang the board edge then borders will be required. When components are close to the edge we prefer tab routs with mouse bites instead of V-scored panels

Packaging:

Please ship each kit separately. Do not combine multiple orders in one box, unless kits are clearly marked and separated. All kits should have a packing slip listing all the items and quantities included in the kit. We appreciate an email sent to us with the tracking information, especially when drop shipping multiple components from suppliers.
